Food for Thought

Yesterday we had our first Food for Thought session. Brittany, our Food for Thought teacher taught us which foods belong in each food group. We were very good at naming lots of different vegetables. It was interesting to learn that there are five different vitamin groups (C, A, B, E, D) that are good for us. We can get vitamin D from the sun and we can get the other vitamins from fruits and vegetables. At the end of the session we sorted different foods into 'Everyday' and 'Occasional' (Miss Agnew forgot to take a photo of this). It was awesome to see that there are so many delicious foods we can eat everyday like cheese, eggs, vegetables and fruit. We are looking forward to our second in class session tomorrow!

  1. Sounds like you had a wonderful time and learnt many new things. I liked how you sorted out the different types of food. I wonder how many people made changes to their food habits.

  12. Hi Room 15,

My name is Neha from your buddy class. I liked how you told us about Food for Thought. This reminds me when Isabel came from Heart Foundation and also gave us a session of Food for Thought. Maybe next time you should make a small poster about healthy foods and sometimes foods. Have an awesome day.
